Gentiva Hospice is looking for compassionate hearts to serve our hospice patients/veterans (no medical work experience necessary - we will train you). Our music support volunteers can serve in a wide array of ways such as:
- Singing to hospice patients, veterans, & nursing home residents
- Performing with an instrument for hospice patients, veterans, & nursing home residents
- Offering companionship and emotional support to hospice patients and veterans
Any of the following instruments are welcome:
- Guitar
- Piano/keys
- Violin
- Singing
- Woodwind
- Brass
Potential volunteers must complete a background check, drug screening, and a Tuberculosis Skin Test (all provided and paid for by Gentiva). We also provide training for volunteers to ensure that they are prepared for their role!
We have no set schedules or shifts. Our volunteers are able to volunteer for whatever works for their schedule. We can even have volunteers on weekends.
