Description

A coalition of the League of Women Voters Pine Belt, the Forrest County NAACP, Mississippi Votes Action Fund, Mississippi MOVE and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity is hosting another public forum on the issue of voter suppression.   The upcoming forum will be held at the C.E. Roy Community Center on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 300 East 5th Street, Hattiesburg, MS 39401. Doors will open at 6:00PM with the forum beginning at 6:30PM. The focus of this forum is “Breaking Silence and Building Connection” as a powerful way to stand up against voter suppression.    The coalition seeks always to make the case for maximum participation in politics by citizens.   You are invited to join the sponsoring organizations and The Storied South, a dynamic organization of recent high school graduates who will facilitate the forum.   Come to the CE Roy Center this coming Tuesday, June 2, at 6PM, enjoy light refreshments, and participate in a forum where your voice can be heard and where we will set the stage for your vote to be counted.
