Assist Youth Counselor with daily scheduled activities, supervision, and safety of participants. Report any emergencies immediately. Document all accidents witnessed of a youth and render first aid where needed. Be aware of all CPR certified staff in case of an emergency as well as the location of all emergency kits.

Youth may be transported on Agency vehicle to other locations for off site activities, you will be expected to assist while offsite just as if you are still onsite.

Attire: Dress comfortable/Athletic wear is permitted but  please refrain from arriving in sleepwear, bonnets, extremely short or tight shorts/skirts/skorts, crop tops or see through attire. No houseshoes/open toe slides. Closed toe shoes are preferred( Crocs should be in sports mode; sandals with a heel strap) Must be able to attend to the roles and responsibilties provided without a safety liability.

Present an pre-approved group activity (game, hands on project, informative presentation, entertainment,etc.) to an assigned group of youth participants.

Youth participants ages will range from grades PK-12(ages 4-17). Approximately 20students per group. Up to 80 participants.

Email the idea(s) to oseolamccarty1@gmail.com for pre-approval. Please include a full descriptions of your prospective activities: setup-spacing needed, indoor/outdoor preferred, supplies required (we will confirm if they are already available on site, which may prevent your need to purchase).

Activity should not exceed 40mins. Indicate if you are available to repeat the activity on multiple days during the camp and/or with each age group or prefer all students at once. Any week day preference; first or section session timeslot.

Volunteers would be joining in with USM BIG Event registered participants to come out & complete a day of service activities at OMYDC. 

Indoor/outdoor service activities where weather permits. Comfortable clothing, closed toe shoe, and a reusable water/sports bottle is recommended. All supplies will be issued for the completion all proposed project(s). 

May Include but is not limited to : Playground cleanup, Gardening/Landscape, Organizing/rearranging classroom setup, dusting, bulletin boards,etc., sorting and/or relocating various inventory.

Volunteer during USM Gameday concession areas where needed.

Shift 1 (PreGame/Gate opens): help setup concession inventory properly and attend to concession customers orders as needed

Shift 2 (GameTime) : attend to concession customers orders as needed

Shirt 3 (Halftime/Final Sales): attend to concession customers as needed, begin shutdown process ( box up goods in like packages, clean used dishes, remove trash from working area, await final dismissal)

**Volunteers are encouraged to work a full pre-game to End of game (or soon as stand shutdown) shift, however any back to back combination of shifts are welcomed***

-processing customer purchase

-stocking and restocking of sale items accordingly.

-properly preparing pre-cooked or instant fix food items as instructed (popcorn,nachos, wrapping burgers, etc)

-Fixing fountain drinks/refills

Volunteer during USM Gameday concession areas where needed.

Clerical Assistant:

-Assist with reminder calls to notify seniors/proxy to pick up box before the end of the distribution.

-Ensure that each Seniors/proxy sign the dated recipient form for each approved  box at the time of pick-up. 

Laborer:

(Must be able to lift 20lbs comfortably to place onto a rolling carts and/or to carry it for up to 100ft. to the recipients' vehicle)

-Assist with the loading & unloading of approx 70+ food boxes from the delivery truck to carts/dolly and place in distribution zone.

-Assist Senior food box recipients with loading of each box into vehicle. (Use of rolling cart is available)

The after school program at Oseola McCarty Youth Development Center is requesting volunteer assistance for their youth who need after school tutoring assistance. Oseola McCarty Youth Development Center would need volunteers during 3:00-6:00 on Mondays thru Thursdays. ENDING MAY 6, 2026
